About Us
The owner of Best Practice EMR, Donald Green MD, a semi-retired Family Physician, has over 30 years of general medical experience. He has had an office in Reading, Ma, and continues to be active in his community and is committed to preserving the doctor-patient relationship.
He is boarded in Family Practice and Pediatrics and was certified in Geriatrics from 1994 to 2004. He also holds a MPH from University of California, Berkeley. He was the founder of the Family Practice Department at Winchester Hospital in Winchester, Mass and served as its first chairman for 4 years.
Dissatisfied with products mostly constructed for large practices, he lost a summer putting together a functional EMR for the small practice niche of 1 to 5 physicians. After testing it in his own practice for 2 years it was commercialized by collaboration with , a software, developer, Dean Serrentino, from Wilmington, Mass. With such hands on experience the success of this EMR has shown it can be readily duplicated.
It is the view of Best Practice EMR that it is not enough to meet outside pressure for an electronic medical record, but an EMR must also satisfy each provider's and their staff's professional experience.

We are looking for small practices on the Massachusetts North Shore who want to enter the digital age but feel overwhelmed. By supporting a colleague in starting a business, you will be taking a reasonable risk to modernize your office. It is always a challenge to trust the new kid on the block, but our commitments will be in writing and we offer a two month trial period.
| Middlesex Family Practice
Dr. Jeremiah Frank came on board Middlesex Family Practice in January, 2007, an office established in 1899 and has been successfully using Best Practice EMR with high satisfaction over the past year. New front desk employees, medical students, nurse practitioners and their interns have had a go with the software and have been impressed with the utility of this product since its introduction here in 2005.
